You know about Black Friday, and maybe you participate in Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday, often stylized as #GivingTuesday for purposes of hashtag activism, refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is a fairly new movement to create a national day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. Charities all over the world benefit from #GivingTuesday.

Gifts to the Friends of Winnataska this day will help fund our new activity building to replace Stockham Hall, damaged in a 2014 storm. We will also put a portion of these funds into remodeling and improving the bath houses on Mainside and Chico and to extend running and hiking trails. We have a huge goal for our end-of-year giving: $50,000 between now and December 31! Won’t you help us reach that goal?

You can give before and you can give after #GivingTuesday (December 1), but we hope you will target that day for a gift to stir some excitement in this year’s annual fund. No amount is too small (or too great) to help us reach our goal this year!
